AMERICANISM

VFW Post 4351 Byrd-Wallace proudly demonstrates an unwavering commitment to Americanism by ensuring that patriotism, remembrance, and respect for those who have defended our freedoms remain visible throughout our community. Our Americanism Program is not centered around a single event—it is a year-round mission to honor our nation, remember its heroes, educate future generations, and bring our community together.

Among our most meaningful observances is our annual Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) Remembrance Ceremony, where we solemnly honor those who remain unaccounted for and reaffirm our promise that they will never be forgotten. Our Post also celebrates America’s independence with a Fourth of July party and fireworks, bringing veterans, families, and community members together in a celebration of the freedoms generations of Americans have sacrificed to protect.

Each December, our Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Golf Tournament combines fellowship with remembrance, honoring those who served and sacrificed on December 7, 1941. On Veterans Day, Post 4351 proudly participates in the community parade and then opens its doors for a celebration honoring veterans of every generation.

These events represent only a portion of Post 4351’s many patriotic programs and observances throughout the year. Through ceremonies, community celebrations, education, remembrance, and veteran involvement, VFW Post 4351 continually works to strengthen patriotism within our community and ensure that the service and sacrifices of America’s veterans are remembered, honored, and passed on to future generations. At Post 4351, Americanism is more than a program—it is a commitment we proudly live every day.
