"The Wisdom of a Father to His Children"

How many of you all have gone out to a Chinese restaurant to eat and at the end
o thf the meal, and been given a Chinese Fortune Cookie? ‘s You know, with slips
of paper inside that leave you with thoughts and sayings about people and life.
God’s Word has something better to say than that! The Book of Proverbs in the
Bible, is a collection of biblical wisdom, brief sayings on God’s true thoughts
about life! They are meant to make all of us, who read them, to stop and think,
and hopefully to redirect our lives, the wisdom of a Father to his children!

The facts facing all Christians now, is that we are facing many changes and
challenges in our lives that bring about many possible fears for the future. We all
need a Godly driven guide, one that is proven to be true for thousands of years
and professes wisdom that is timeless.

The Book of Proverbs, in the Old Testament of the Bible, is perhaps the most
unique guide in our human history! It is an outstanding collection of Biblical
nuggets of wisdom and sayings of God’s wisdom in life through many areas.
King Soloman, the author of Proverbs and son and ruler to follow King David,
speaks the truth in a non-exhausting way, that is straight forward and speaks to
our hearts. The scripture is designed to make us stop and think about what is
said, to direct or redirect our lives! There are 31 chapters in the Book of Proverbs,
a chapter a day of God’s wisdom, told through King Solomon, perhaps one
chapter a day, that will affect your thinking and behavior in powerful ways! To
many of us, in the here and now, Proverbs may appear to be a random collection
of remarks based upon people of ancient times and their thoughts on life. But the
Book of Proverbs is a very "Special Guide Book,” prepared and assembled by the
greatest minds and leadership, to help all of us through time in every area of our
lives, the text for practical living!

The Book of Proverbs is a ‘treasure chest’ of true Christians, wisdom and
practical lessons that can guide us towards a more meaningful life. It has
practical wisdom, insights, and advice on so many aspects of life, including
relationships, work, finances, and personal growth, to name a few! By studying
and applying the lessons found in Proverbs, we gain the wisdom and make wiser
choices in our daily lives.

When Solomon became King, God spoke to him in a dream, with an opportunity
of a lifetime and said, "Ask what you want Me to give you”. (1 Kings 3:5) He could
have asked for many things like a long life, riches, or perhaps ruling over
adversaries, but he asked for wisdom, and God was very pleased! (1 Kings 3:9) It
showed God that the young king desired most of all, to lead his people with
justice and fairness. King Solomon ruled all Israel with wisdom and justice and all
prospered! (1 Kings 4:20) We can too….in todays world!

Proverbs offers valuable guidance on building strong and healthy relationships.
It stresses the importance of honesty, kindness, and loyalty in our contact and
relationships with others, and builds character within ourselves. The chapters of
Proverbs provides practical advice on our work, highlighting the importance of
diligence, good work ethics, excellence, and positive character.

This chapter of Proverbs also offers us wise stewardship with our finances and
provides us valuable wisdom when it comes to managing our finances. It advises
against living beyond our means and having too much unnecessary debt. By
practicing financial ways and means and making good choices, we can create
solid financial values of well-being in our lives.

By applying ourselves, to the teachings from the Book of Proverbs, we can
develop a strong character and have healthy relationships. This chapter reminds
us that our actions and words have a great impact on those around us. We
always must try to have the values of honesty, kindness, and loyalty, regarding
the teachings of long ago, that are correct even today. We must always do our
very best to highlight our roll of having integrity, and realize the dangers of
dishonesty, gossip, and untrustworthiness. When we surround ourselves with
wise and trustworthy persons, we can strengthen our character and become
better versions of ourselves.

The chapters of the Book of Proverbs contain so much wisdom for all of us to
read and reread again and again! It is one of the highlights of the Bible, and the
intention of God is to be and instruction of a "loving Father to His children”! If
we, as Christians, believe that we truly are His children, and God is our Father, we
will want to live by His "Book of Instructions on Life "! Take a month,
and read at least a chapter a day! It will change your life!

It is by His Grace we are saved…by His Word we try to live …and by His Will we
serve all others…
